Small Claims Court.

The problem with being a lawyer, as I see it: you always feel that you are going to get justice. You know the rights and remedies accorded to you under the law. You know how to achieve justice. You have invested $90,000 in an education of justice. You are ready for it.. and eager to perform.

For example, I always feel this way, "why not take this to court, I am in the right-- and even if I lose-- the trial practice is invaluable as a young attorney." This is a dangerous mindset. But there is something empowering about it
My dad's traffic ticket. He says "go pay this." I say, "I will represent you we can try to get it reduced."

Pretty much everything is viewed through these rose colored glasses of empowered justice. Until a judge laughs at you and says "Counselor, you are wasting the time of the court. Such behavior is forbidden under Section.. blah blah blah-- I hearby call you sanctioned." But not in small claims court... anything is possible.

Have I ever mentioned how much i would love to be judge judy.

True dat.
