Because North Dakota is SO worried that if they only require 5 personal references (as is normal) people, not to mention lawyers, will flood the state, I have used ALL of you as a reference. If you get a sheet of paper in the mail asking how long you've known me-- it is at least five years.
In case you think that we have known eachother less time, for the purposes of this exercise, you are mistaken.
I will now take a moment to explain why it is very important that you respond to the form quickly and in a cooperative manner:
I was able to waive (because I got a 162 on the MBE and that is a very good score..(just let me have my moment...) in to ND so long as my application is completed by July 28 (the miraculous day we took the applicable portion of the bar exam two years ago.) I'd like nothing more than to never take another bar exam in my life. (not true-- there are a lot of things I would like more, in fact, I rather like tests-- none the less, I don't want to spend the money on it).
If you get a referal form, remember the following:
1) I am very nice.
2) I do not steal.
3) I've never murdered anyone.
4) You've known me a very long time and yes, yes you are capable of saying that I would make a great lawyer in the state of ND.
In case your curiosity has gotten the best of you, I have no intentions of moving to North Dakota. My father wishes to sue Dickey County (not taking care of a bridge-- de facto taking of land rendering it useless.... sound good?) and I am his subject. My Bar enterance has nothing to do with my wonderfully handsome and talented boyfriend Picture of Matt who currently lives in the great city of Minot (when he is not busy fixing my life).
There are a number of you I have not seen or talked to in ages. If you ever want to come visit- please do. If you would like me to come visit, please do send a doctors note to the address below c/o Gerald.
Please remember, North Dakota's justice system needs me.
Best Regards,
A

Dear Law firm who fired me at one time (this part has been changed):
I recently found out that I can waive into the North Dakota Bar. I got a 162 on the MBE (over 95th Percentile.... hooray for me). I am sorry that I keep sending you letters of varification of employment because I keep passing bar exams. I am sure this will be the last one.
This letter is to inform you that you will receive yet another letter to verify my employment at Hoover and Bechtel from February 2008 to April 2008.
I hope that your business is well. I am currently helping friends with uncontested divorces, bankruptcies, frustrating custody cases, and DUIs for free. I trade grains and farm for a living.
Best Regards,
