Last night I arrived into SJC at 9:35PM Matt was waiting for me at the rental car place.
The guy wouldn't give him the car that I had paid for-- even though I gave him the number and everything. So stupid.
So, Matt and I went to In and Out for dinner.. did it animal style... our burgers that is. That's onions and cheese and thousand island... I think. YUM!
It's nice to be here. Saw Lauren last night, who looks amazing... and Donna and Dennis- who I've seen the most since I left (Coachella, Chicago. etc.) Their house has come along. I feel happy for them.
One thing worth noting: their house is freezing. I guess they haven't turned on their furnace yet? But, from living with Donna-- and remembering her sitting around studying in her winter coat, I don't know if I believe that it is just "not on.." we'll see.. I am sure she has her house set to 50 or something crazy... just wait til she goes to work :)
I'm excited to be here. There are lots of people I want to see and places I want to eat. Something about being here made me realize that it is nuts that I haven't come back for a few weekends in between since I left. I guess, I just was overwhelmed with stuff.
I also started to think of my 30 hens. Do they miss me? Or bryan....
oh sweet bryan.

The chart above. I think I see a double top. I also see a bull flag. So what's the upside potential? 6.35. downside... who knows.
A prof. from undergrad came to the office yesterday. It was really nice to see her- but she had this crazy news: her husband got a vaccine for something and it paralyzed him. He can't walk! He is a paraplegic. What are the chances? 1 in 6 million. Thank God I am all vaccinated or I would never get another one-- just because I am like that.
In other news, G. Bush is speaking at the union league in Chicago in two weeks. I would like to go.
The smell of the spare room in their house carries a fair amount of nostalgia for me. I don't really want to go into it. But it was hard to concentrate on sleeping last night as I laid there. Smells are like that for me. A sweaty saddle, a certain type of hair spray, a musty church basement. All smells that are sweeter then sour.
I'm up for the day- and have been for some time. Now what?
