Boogaloo's & Ritual Coffee.

We went to Boogaloo's and Ritual. Two of my Mission favs. I got this polenta and eggs dish that I think makes me feel classy and rugged while eating. It was nice.

I've really enjoyed being here. It's been nice to see people.

I think originally, I always thought I could just live here a couple months out of the year, and still work for the business. I think I could, technically. But, it doesn't appear that that is the way life is working out for me.

I like being here. Although, I hate the aggressive homeless people- and the mass of creative people. They make me feel like a Gap.com commercial-- and they are an urban outfitters model. I don't have any edgy piercings. I vote republican (for the most part) (insert gasp). I don't like health care reform (it's great in theory...). I plant GMO soybeans and my boyfriend owns Monsanto stock. For the most part: I don't fit in.

But, I do love costumes and dress up and whimsical living. I like going to interesting art shops and looking at overpriced prints.

There are a few people that I didn't see while here that I really would have liked to see. It's ok. I will be back. But the odd part is this: Maybe they won't want to see me then either. It's ok. My desire to see them is not based on them wanting to see me.

I'm not quite home-sick yet. I don't miss my animals. I don't miss my yard. I don't miss my house. But I will. At some point I will miss it all.

Chicago is much cleaner than San Francisco. And has a way better accent.
