Somewhere Warmer
Left on Friday for a new destination again. This time before I get on the blue line... ... please no judgment.. I went to Dunkn' Donuts to get a egg and cheese croissant. These things are like crack (so I've heard) in that crack is super addicting and i am super addicted to the ecc. but.. I digress.
Carrying my suitcase.. plop it down.
Three guys behind me in line. one says "I hope you are going somewhere warmer than here"
I say "Austin"
"oh I love Austin-- try to go to... etc. etc."
Other guy in line pitches in "I love this one bar and then there is this place that looks like a trailer park but it is restaurants..."
And another one says "you know it snowed there last week.."
I get my food-- they all say "yo- have fun etc.."
This, is why I love Chicago, yet again. The people do not disappoint. Friendly at its core. People are interested in people and talk.
Talk to me. I like it that way. I want to know what you think is stupid etc..
One time, last year, I was on the El and a bunch of people who didn't know each other started singing together. I love that.
it makes me feel like I have community.. or something.
Just for good measure:
